The 'Year of Outfits' Planner is ready to download!
You can already tell that I love planning!:) I like documenting my favorite fashion choices and outfit options because it motivates me to be more creative with my clothes. Also, it's helpful while doing my seasonal closet clean-out - it just gives me a glimpse of my favorite outfits and shows what I've been mostly wearing and styling for the last couple of months.
As most of you might remember, in 2022, I decided on a 'no-buy' year for fashion, which meant taking a break from buying new clothes and making the most of my existing wardrobe. Instead of constantly adding new items to my closet, I took a step back, did a complete inventory of my clothes, and challenged myself to create daily outfits using only what I already had in my wardrobe for the whole year. That's also when I started sharing those inspirations via the @the_closet_journal page. From the beginning, I wanted this little corner of Instagram to offer a handy alternative to fashion apps, providing daily outfit inspirations and guidance for building a versatile wardrobe, planning seasonal capsules, and making the most of your existing closet. And I'm happy that so many of you have reacted positively to this idea! To this day, I receive lots of messages that such a daily dose of inspiration (where we use the same clothing pieces repeatedly for the entire year) is something that helps you learn more about your style and enjoy your clothes again, save time (and money), and become more mindful when shopping for clothes. It only confirms that, as customers, we are just tired of shopping, mini-seasonal trends, sale alerts, and fashion hauls.
Since I completed the 2022 edition of this fashion project, I've been getting many questions asking if there's a printable version of this planner available somewhere other than on my Instagram. So, today, I'm excited to share that you can download the 'Year of Outfits' Planner on my blog! The free PDF for the 2022 edition is available HERE. Edition 2023 comes this week, and 2024 will be available to download after finishing the project this winter.
Also, please remember that the 'Year of Outfits' project is about making the most of what YOU already have in your closet! My lifestyle is quite simple, so while creating these planners, I focused mainly on comfort and simple outfit formulas that are realistic, effortlessly chic, and super easy to recreate. Happy styling!
