Outfit Planners & Complete Clothing List for 2022

You can already tell that I love planning. I like to document my favorite fashion choices and outfit options, and today, I'm finally sharing my Weekly and Monthly Outfit Planner, which you can download here. I love to use it regularly because it motivates me to be more creative with my clothes. Also, it's helpful while doing my seasonal closet clean-out - it just gives me a glimpse of my favorite outfits and shows what I've been mostly wearing and styling for the last couple of months.

As I mentioned in my last post, I want 2022 to be a "no buy" year for me. And it's not that I take part in the challenge to prove that I can live without buying clothes. Nothing like that, because it's not about putting some kind of pressure on yourself! :) I just realized that I already own enough clothes and accessories during my last wardrobe clean-out. I also noticed that I have a few things that, although I still like, for some reason, I don't use them enough in my outfits.

As for the Year of outfits concept, I am glad that so many of you have reacted so positively to this idea. To this day, I receive lots of DMs and messages that such a daily dose of inspiration (where I use the same clothing pieces repeatedly for the entire year) is something you have been waiting for! And it only confirms that most of us are simply tired of shopping, promotions, seasonal sales, and fashion trends. All the more, I hope that even if you are planning some clothing shopping in 2022, the @the_closet_journal profile will help you invest in classics that will last you years.

Also, many of you have asked for a complete clothing list, based on which I plan to create my outfits throughout the year - below, I listed all 70 items of clothing, including shoes and handbags. I hope this will give you a preview of what you can expect from the spring, summer, and autumn capsules - but please remember that I did not include underwear, activewear, loungewear, and travel/seasonal accessories in this list (swimwear, beachwear, hats, etc.)

I also note that all the following garments come from my wardrobe, so you will not find saturated colors and too many dresses or skirts in the inspirations I share. My lifestyle is quite simple, and while during the week I try to choose the most elegant pieces from my wardrobe when creating smart-casual looks for work, on weekends, I focus mainly on comfort. But I think that this is the reality of most of us, and that's why I want to focus here on simple and, most importantly, realistic outfit ideas that are comfy and effortlessly chic.
